About this production
The Charles Deering Estate sits in the Cutler neighbourhood of Palmetto Bay. The property includes the Richmond Cottage, a three storey wooden house built in 1900, and a three storey stone mansion completed in 1931 that took two years to build. In 1985 the Nature Conservancy brokered the deal that allowed the State of Florida and Miami-Dade County to purchase the property.
